First workshop delivered!
I ran my first workshop last Sunday - and I really enjoyed it! I delivered a fair bit of business training in my 30s so it’s not completely new to me, but I must admit it was daunting having 20 people looking to you, and only you, for instruction over 6 hours. I’d put lots of preparation in and I was certainly glad I had, it’s remarkable how some simple Photoshop technique you’ve done a 100 times before suddenly becomes very difficult! One of the most challenging aspects for me was not on the day though, it was recording the 22 videos that cover every component of my workflow in complete detail. The actual learning time is 5½ hours but I reckon it took at least 10x this to record and edit them. I’m falling increasingly in love with making videos so in that regard, whilst it was hard work, it was great fun too. Everyone gets to take them away on a USB stick & several people have already come back to me and said how useful they are finding them to use in their own time, so that makes the hard work worthwhile. All in all I feel the first workshop went well and the feedback I’ve received since confirms that, so I’m really looking forward to the next one now - it’s at the end of January. Bring it on :-)
