FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique, founded in 1946) is an international organisation of national associations of photography. More than 85 countries are members, comprising nearly one million individual photographers. So, in the amateur photography world FIAP is a pretty big deal.
Each month they produce a lavish newsletter which is distributed worldwide - and I’ve been asked to write an article on my underwater photography for their November issue. I’m pretty chuffed TBH.
My Diving Gannets image took the top award in the FIAP World Cup this year, so in that respect it was crowned top nature image in the world. It made the front cover of the December FIAP news and I thought that would be that.
But those gannets are the gift that just keeps on giving - I’m so very grateful to them and the fact that all the stars aligned to let me capture that photograph. I’ll publish the article here when it goes live.
