I’ve always lived in Derbyshire, so it was a great thrill for me when I was approached by Derbyshire Life to write a series of articles about my photography. The first one has just been published and the others will follow in 3 month intervals. I couldn’t be happier tbh :-)

Daily Mail Article
I appeared in the Daily Mail today :-) I was shortlisted for the Sony World Photography Awards which had 193,000 entries worldwide, so pretty pleased about that.

Nice article in this month’s Derbyshire Life :-)
The Zoological Photographic Club
I’ve been invited to join the Zoological Photographic Club, which has just 28 members. Here’s an extract from my acceptance letter;
“ You will be the 258th member of the ZPC since our formation in June 1899! During that very long period, many of the very greatest British natural history photographers and print makers have been members. Eric Hosking, Emma Turner, Richard Kearton, John Markham, Harold Auger and Morrey Salmon were all ZPC members. Our folios have been circulating nonstop now for 120 years. Once photographers join, they are usually members for life, or at least for a very long time”
Oh my! So pleased I decided to buy an underwater camera :-)

Top entrant in the 47th Quillat International, Spain
The Quillat is a Spanish international competition. Delighted to hear I was the overall top entrant for which I won 500 euro prize and a FIAP Blue Badge. My first significant money prize, so I’m over the moon tbh :-)
