A very special evening
I’m a member of a small camera club (H15) in addition to my main club (Rolls Royce). We recently lost a member & very dear friend, Fran Muldoon, & last night we ran a friendly competition in his honour. Our judge for the evening was one of this region’s best, Dave Hollingsworth. Dave selected his favourite image from the 5 prints entered by each member & then together with Fran’s widow, Margaret, they chose the winner. I’m really honoured that they chose my Diving Gannet image - so I became the first recipient of the Fran Muldoon trophy which Margaret had generously supplied. It’s a competition we’re going to run annually to keep the memory of our dear friend alive - he was genuinely one of the nicest blokes you could meet.
Two images shortlisted for the British Photography Awards
I’ve had 2 images shortlisted in the British Photography Awards The overall winners will be picked by a team of judges in January but there’s also a Peoples Award - I’d be really grateful if you voted for me :-)
